A Heartfelt Update on Book & Bear Order Times for Our ClassWallet Families

If you’ve found your way to this page, you’re probably wondering how long it will take to receive your Book and Bear order placed through ClassWallet. First, thank you—truly—for your patience, kindness, and support during this season. We wanted to put everything in one place so you know what’s going on behind the scenes and what to expect.

We’re a Small Family Team Navigating a Difficult Season

Book & Bear has always been run by our small, close-knit family. Many of you already know that we recently lost our husband and father to cancer. We are still learning how to move forward one day at a time while continuing to bring joy and reading magic to your children.

A Huge Influx of ClassWallet Orders Has Created Unexpected Delays

This year, ClassWallet families discovered Book & Bear in a big way—so much so that our inventory is selling out faster than we can restock it. Normally this would be an exciting moment for a small business, but the sudden spike has caused real challenges with keeping shelves full.

We’re doing everything we can to keep up, but the increase has caused shipping delays for many orders.

Why Cash Flow Is Affecting Shipping Times

Many customers are surprised to learn that ClassWallet does not pay us when you place your order.
Instead, Book & Bear receives payment 30–45 days after an order is submitted.

With hundreds of orders coming in at once, this delay has created a serious cash flow issue, which directly affects how quickly we can bring in new inventory, pack boxes, and ship everything out.

We know this is frustrating—we feel it too—and we truly appreciate your patience.

Order Approval Delays Are Causing Additional Issues

Another wrinkle: not all orders are approved right away.

We are currently seeing:

  • Up to 3 weeks from order to approval for orders in Arkansas

  • Up to 1 week for orders in New Hampshire

During these waiting periods, inventory may sell out before the order is officially approved and released to us. This means some families are being approved for items that are no longer available by the time we’re allowed to ship them.

At this time, we cannot restock any currently sold-out styles.

For any orders that cannot be fulfilled due to sold-out items, we will need to convert your order to subscription credit, ensuring your child still receives a Book & Bear box—just in a different style.

Because our tiny team is currently handling a very large volume of orders, emails, and packing, it may take up to a week for us to respond. We’re answering everything as quickly—and kindly—as we can.

To help us help you faster, please include your order number in your email. Missing order numbers often result in further delays.
