Book & Bitty Bear Subscription includes a little 8 inch animal stuffing kit with everything you need to stuff and adopt your new little buddy, and a paperback or bargain picture book, or a single chapter book. This smaller version will feature a different animal than our original box each month and arrive in a colorful mailer envelope with free shipping. 

Yes! All children of all genders love animals! Occasionally we may feature an animal that is more gender-specific (such as ballerina bunny which is more geared toward girls) but these boxes are always Special Edition boxes sold separately from subscriptions.

Children under 3 years old will love our Book and Bear Baby Box with soft and cuddly little animals that are already stuffed and approved for children under 3 years. This box comes with a board book just right for getting your littles excited about reading early in their lives.

For Kids ages 3 to 7 years, choose the Picture Book Version. This box comes with an animal your can stuff together and everything you need to stuff and adopt your new friend, plus a picture book carefully paired with the animal to help develop a love of reading even before your kids are reading on their own.

For anyone 8 years old and up, choose the Chapter Book Version so you can build and adopt your own new animal each month and read together with your new reading buddy. When your child is reading on their own, we send books you can still read aloud together and enjoy family conversations about the books you read to strenthen your precious family bonds.

When you subscribe to Book and Bear, you'll open a world of animal wonders for your family time.

Subscriptions begin the day you sign up with the first available box. Subscribe between the 7th and the 20th and we'll send you the box of the month (unless we have already sold out- in this case we will send you last month's box).

Sign up between the 21st and the 6th of the coming month and we'll send you our newest box between the 6th and the 11th of the coming month.

Yes! You can purchase one-time boxes in our Gift Shop.

One-time Boxes are past subscription boxes or Special Edition Boxes and have very limited quantities. Most will not be restocked.

No! That's one of the best things about Book and Bear Animals. Every animal arrives pre-sewn and ready to stuff. Once you have finished stuffing the animal, just close up the pouch in its back with its built-in zipper or zip-tie, then removed the fabric strip from the velcro and pinch the velcro opening together. No sewing at all! Most children can build their animals themselves.
